Green Hills, Portland, OR

The purpose of this project was twofold: rebuild a dilapidated garage and increase the outdoor living space for the homeowner. This was achieved by razing the existing garage and carefully integrating a new garage into the hillside, so it could house automobiles on the street level and function as a patio area in the yard above. Wood trellises and rock walls were combined to soften the concrete subterranean garage structure.
