FALCON POINTE

A complete remodel of a home originally constructed in 1980, this home sits on a beautiful 17-acre property overlooking the Willamette River and Mount Hood. The original home was in a state of disrepair: the roof was leaking, walls were bowed, and the entire décor was dated. The new home features five bedrooms, seven baths and generous entertaining space. An indoor swimming pool was filled and reborn as a combined kitchen, family and dining room. Recapturing this space allowed the rest of the house to be opened up, bringing in more natural light while modernizing the floor plan.

This project takes every advantage of the views afforded by a small, difficult site. Through careful planning, the home is connected to the outdoors at every turn. 15-foot ceilings with clerestory windows allow the interior of the kitchen to be bathed with natural light. Large glass doors connect interior and exterior dining areas and allow the main living space to be opened to the water, bringing the outside in. On the lower level, a glass garage door connects the cabana to the pool terrace.
